Thank you for your interest in being a part of the 39th Annual Sugar Creek Arts Festival. All applications are due May 31st, 2022, by midnight. More information about the application process can be found below.

Application Process

How to apply for the 2022 Sugar Creek Arts Festival? It's Simple!

First, you'll need to register with EntryThingy below.

Either log in or make an account and follow the prompts. Please carefully fill out your information, artist's description, and select one of the following categories to submit your work under. 



  • Ceramics

  • Fiber

  • Glass

  • Graphics

  • Jewelry

  • Photography

  • Painting

  • Sculpture

  • Wood

  • Other

Then, via EntryThingy, please submit high-quality digital images of three representative works and a photo of your booth/display set up. All photos should be formatted as .jpg files and labeled as follows:

Second, after submitting the required information via EntryThingy, head on over to our website to pay the $25.00 application fee. Click here to do so

Applications will not be reviewed without confirmation of application fee payment. A non-refundable application fee of $25 can be made one of four ways.

  1. Online (as described above)

  2. Over the phone at 309-829-0011

  3. In-person at the McLean County Arts Center

  4. By check sent to MCAC at 601 N. East St. Bloomington, IL 61701

Once you've submitted your information on EntryThingy, and paid the $25 entry fee, you are done with the application process! Both portions must be completed by midnight on May 31, 2022, to be considered for this year's festival.

Additional Information for Applying Artists

  • Sugar Creek Arts Festival is nationally recognized for its excellence and is a juried event that showcases fine art and fine crafts from local, regional, and national artists. Professional artists external to the MCAC serve as paid jurors.

  • This outdoor festival is hosted in the beautiful streets of Uptown Normal. There is ample parking for both artists and patrons nearby.

  • All fine art and fine craft will be accepted for jury. 

  • The artwork presented must be original and created by the exhibiting artist. 

  • All artworks must be for sale. No more than 50% of a booth may be composed of giclee prints or other items of this type. 

  • Castings from commercial molds, kit items, buy/sell items, unlimited series, and/or mass editions will not be permitted. The MCAC reserves the right to exclude any work it deems unsuitable for display, or which was misrepresented in the application.

  • Artists exhibiting Buy/Sell Items will be removed from the festival and applications and booth fees will not be refunded.

  • If the state determines certain restrictions for the Covid19 virus, we will be in compliance with said regulations. If regulations call for it, the festival may be canceled.
